Here it is...the much anticipated, and needed new fridge...in all it's whiteness and newness.
I am trying to be joyful and thankful that I live in a building where the owner will replace appliances. Really I am. However, I am having trouble. It's much deeper than the old one.
I arrived home very late on the day the fridge arrived, walked into the kitchen to view the "New Fridge" and almost walked straight into it....our first meeting was not off to a great start.
It's very white, did I mention that. And plastic. And new.
I needed it though, you see so I had to ask for it knowing I would get a white fridge. I had already had the old fridge shut down once. It was repaired. I was happy. Until the day I realized that one half of the freezer wasn't freezing really. Now I like my Hagan Daaz softish, but runny is just a waste of fantastic ice cream. So I bit the bullet and made the call.
The issue with the White Plastic Fridge is two-fold: The white dishwasher is of a metal-like material...not glaring white plastic. The stove, well...it's the Golden Autumn color of days gone by when appliances were made to last longer than five years....it's glaringly ancient next to the White Plastic Fridge.
BTW...the emptiness of the fridge is not due to my job status, it's due to a previous broken fridge and the fact that the cat has not gone grocery shopping...
